Intellectual Property and Copyright Policy
ALSAT respects intellectual property rights and expects all users of the Platform to do the same.
ALSAT operates as a Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace that helps independent businesses list, discover, buy, and sell wholesale goods, surplus inventory, equipment, and related products.
ALSAT may assist sellers with formatting, translation, categorization, product descriptions, image placement, and general listing presentation. Such assistance is provided to improve marketplace usability and does not imply any affiliation with, authorization by, or endorsement from any brand owner, manufacturer, distributor, or rights holder.
Sellers remain responsible for the authenticity, lawful origin, accuracy, availability, and legality of the goods and listing information they provide or approve for publication on the Platform.
This Policy explains how intellectual property owners or their authorized representatives may report alleged copyright, trademark, counterfeit, or other intellectual property issues on ALSAT
1. How to Submit an Intellectual Property Complaint
If you are an intellectual property owner, or an authorized representative acting on behalf of one, and you believe that specific content on ALSAT infringes your rights, please send a written notice to:
To allow us to review the matter efficiently, your notice should include:
1. Your details Full name, company name, position, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
2. Proof of authority If you act on behalf of a rights holder, please provide confirmation of your authority to act.
3. Identification of the intellectual property A clear description of the copyright, trademark, design, or other right allegedly infringed, including registration numbers where applicable.
4. Exact ALSAT URL(s) The exact URL(s) of the specific product listing, image, or other content that you believe infringes your rights. General references to the homepage, category pages, search pages, or the Platform as a whole may delay review unless specific infringing content is clearly identified.
5. Reason for complaint A short explanation of why you believe the specific content infringes your rights.
6. Good-faith statement A statement that you believe in good faith that the complained-of use is not authorized by the rights holder, its representative, or applicable law.
7. Accuracy statement A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.
8. Signature A physical or electronic signature.
2. ALSAT’s Review Process
After receiving a sufficiently specific complaint, ALSAT may take one or more of the following actions:
• review the specific listing, image, or content identified in the complaint;
• temporarily suspend or remove the relevant content pending review;
• request additional information from the complainant;
• request supporting documents from the seller;
• notify the seller of the complaint;
• replace, remove, or disable access to specific content;
• reject or close incomplete, unclear, unsupported, or overly broad complaints;
• take other action that ALSAT considers appropriate.
ALSAT aims to act reasonably and promptly after receiving a sufficiently specific complaint.
3. Seller Responsibility
By listing products on ALSAT, sellers confirm that:
• the listed goods are genuine and lawfully sourced;
• they have the right to sell the listed goods;
• product information provided or approved by them is accurate and lawful;
• they will provide supporting documents upon ALSAT’s request;
• they will cooperate with ALSAT in resolving intellectual property complaints.
ALSAT may suspend or remove listings if the seller fails to provide reasonable supporting documents.
4. Use of Brand Names and Product Images
Brand names, trademarks, model names, and product references may appear on ALSAT for the purpose of identifying goods offered by independent sellers.
Such use does not mean that ALSAT is affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by the relevant brand owner, manufacturer, or distributor.
Product images and descriptions may be removed, replaced, or disabled if ALSAT receives a credible complaint or determines that the content may create legal or marketplace risk.
5. Seller Response or Counter-Notice
If a seller believes that a listing or content was removed by mistake, misidentification, or because the seller has the right to sell or display the goods, the seller may submit a written response to ALSAT.
The response should include:
• the removed listing URL or product reference;
• the reason the seller believes the removal was mistaken;
• supporting documents, where available;
• confirmation that the goods are genuine and lawfully sourced;
• contact details of the seller.
ALSAT may, at its discretion, restore the content if the issue is resolved, if sufficient supporting documents are provided, or if the complaint appears incomplete or unsupported.
ALSAT may refuse restoration where there is unresolved legal risk, evidence of infringement, repeated complaints, or a pending claim by a rights holder or competent authority.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
ALSAT is committed to maintaining a trusted B2B marketplace.
Sellers who repeatedly upload counterfeit goods, unauthorized images, misleading listings, or other infringing content may have their listings removed, account suspended, or account terminated. ALSAT may also prevent repeat infringers from re-registering on the Platform where permitted by applicable law.
7. No Legal Determination
ALSAT is not a court or intellectual property tribunal. ALSAT does not make final legal determinations regarding ownership of intellectual property rights, infringement, exhaustion of rights, lawful resale, or authenticity disputes.
ALSAT’s review process is intended to reduce risk, protect legitimate rights holders, and maintain trust on the Platform while allowing lawful B2B trade to continue.
